Script for Voiceover
Odyne's voiceover during the opening of the trailer
“Many years ago my family and I
lived in the country. I loved the house we lived in. I loved my life. Little
did I know my brother would become the monster this world would fear and the
target of my deepest hate. This is how it happened.”

(Whilst
the long shots of the house and the kids running towards the swimming pool are
shown – could possibly also be as the shot dissolves into the long shot of the
main character beginning to run around the swimming pool)
“My brother and I were so close when we were younger but he started to
act strange. He began to create a divide between us. We went to the pool one
day and Iago was annoyed at me for teasing him about his fear of water.

(Voice
over the long shot of Odyne running down the poolside and preparing to dive)
“I wanted; so desperately, to show him my perfect dive but of course
he shoved me before I could. I remember so clearly the overwhelming feeling of
betrayal and fear as I drowned. I knew it was him, the shock on his face, the
out stretched hands and the mountains of water taking over. All he did was run.”

(Over the top
of the shots of Iago pushing Odyne into the pool and as she begins to struggle,
also when shot changes to POV of Iago looking at hands. As Iago runs away).
“This was the first I knew of
our super powers. It was the first I had seen my brother for who he truly was. It
was the thing that changed me and some may say not for the good.”

(During close
up of Odyne as she wakes up and looks around then dissolves into a mid shot of
her older putting on her mask).

Opening Scene Changes
As was mentioned in the previous post, several changes had to be made to the shot list and shooting script for the opening scene. For shooting purposes, Odyne and Iago are referred to as 'the boy' and 'the girl'. Here are the changes that we had to make.
