Odyne Film Pitch

The film begins with a flashback; the main character is recalling a memory from the past. There is desaturated colour to show that it is a flashback. During the flashback the audience are able to view the point in which Odyne’s character changes as she is left to die by her brother after he used his water manipulation to hold her under. Both Odyne and her brother; Iago, have developed special powers from their parents. Odyne can throw fire, has telekinesis and can become invisible. Whereas, Iago can manipulate water and has a mind control that enables him to control the mind of any person or animal. There is next a close up shot of Odyne’s face as a child which then dissolves into her face as an adult, putting on a mask. Odyne has become the villain and is feared by the people of her town because Iago’s mind control has persuaded the world to outcast her and worship him as the hero. Odyne wants revenge on her brother for trying to kill her when they were children and feels the best way to do it is to kill off one by one his followers, who aren’t manipulated by his mind control but they want the power he will bring them. However, after finding Iago’s secret army there starts a war between the siblings for redemption. After several days of intense battle it finally comes down to a one on one battle between the siblings. Where Odyne finds out Iago didn’t intend to kill her he couldn’t control his powers and thought she was dead all this time. With her master disguise he didn’t know Odyne was the villain he had fought all this time. After a heartfelt moment forgiving one another Iago dies after sustaining gunshot wounds from an anonymous shooter. Due to the death of Iago, the unforgiving world is never told about the misunderstanding between the siblings and Odyne is exiled.
